Scientific Expertise: Agriculture related to animal husbandry, dairying, livestock raising, animal welfare
Contribution: WG 2 contribution: help with raising awareness among livestock breeders in Republic of North Macedonia on implementing sustainable and cost-effective biosecurity measures WG 3 contribution: help with the assessment of the effectiveness of the existing biosecurity methods and the risk for disease introduction, as well as exchanging ideas for future improvements.
Motivation: My main motivation to join this action is to raise the awareness about the importance of implementing different on-farm biosecurity measures among the stakeholders and livestock breeders in my country, as well as to join a network of trained professionals in this research area in Europe for future cooperation.
Scientific Background: I graduated from the Faculty of veterinary medicine in Skopje in the period 1996 - 2002. During this period I attended undergraduate courses such as animal hygiene, infectious and parasitic diseases in farm animals. After the graduation I continued my MSc studies at the Department of veterinary medicine, Faculty of agriculture in Novi Sad where I also attended courses on epidemiology and prevention of infectious diseases among farmed animals. In 2014 I defended my PhD thesis at the Faculty of veterinary medicine in Skopje and since then I teach the course Animal production systems at the same institution. During this period I have either written or co-authored several scientific papers in different areas in the field of Animal and dairy science.
